S.W.A.T. tells the story of a man named Jim Street (Daredevil’s Colin Farrell) and T.J. McCabe (Four Brothers Josh Charles) who are the elite of the elite on Los Angeles Special Weapons and Tactics team. Everything is going smooth until McCabe, by accident, shoots a hostage while trying to prevent a bank robbery. Due to Street and McCabe both being present at the scene, both are demoted (Street to the gun cage and McCabe simply quits). Street continues his everyday job of gun cage duty until he catches the eye of Dan “Hondo” Harrelson (Pulp Fiction’s Samuel L. Jackson), who has been brought here to put together a new S.W.A.T. team. Even though the current captain despises Street, Hondo convinces him to allow Street a chance to be on the team once again. The Great Raid tells the story of one of the most triumphant rescue missions in U.S. military history. The mission at hand involves the necessary rescue of about 500 P.O.W.’s held at Canatuan. The U.S. is obviously worried about this group of P.O.W.’s since a previous 150 P.O.W.’s had been burned alive. Enter the talented, highly untrained and untested 6th Ranger Battalion, chosen to lead this mission. As they travel 30 miles behind enemy lines in hopes of saving these soldiers, the story of these men, and the other connected stories, really become interesting. Continue Reading

Eight Below tells the story of an Antarctic expedition headed by Doctor Davis McClaren (Bruce Greenwood), dog trainer Jerry Shepherd (Paul Walker) and his team consisting of a few interesting stars in Jason Biggs and Moon Bloodgood (best known for Monk). Near the end of this expedition, we learn that an impending storm is coming right for our characters. Jerry Shepherd leaves his dogs behind hoping that the mission might continue soon. Unfortunately, as mentioned above, a huge storm is coming and the dogs must fend off every type of obstacle. Continue Reading

Rob Cohen action-adventure film xXx tells the story of extreme thrill seeker Xander Cage (Vin Diesel), a man who is simply know for the outrageous stunts he pulls off (especially the opening stunt off the bridge). Everything is sailing smoothly for Xander and his buddies until his place is raided by the NSA who, in turn, want to craft this man into the field’s newest secret agent. The man at the head of Xander’s training is Augustus Gibbons (Samuel L. Jackson). Naturally as a thrill seeker, Xander doesn’t like to follow rules and likes to act like a bad-ass 100% of the time.
